Adirondack for Kids is a foundation started by the Adirondack Family of businesses to offer grants to nonprofit organizations supporting youth activities in the areas where we work, live, and play.
Adirondack for Kids has been very active in enhancing the lives of area youths this year, and will continue to be active in the future. To obtain an application for a grant, click here or contact Nancy Monette at (518) 483-3835.

Some of our recent projects include…
- Holiday Helpers:
During the Christmas season the Holiday Helpers based in Malone provide not only toys and gifts for the working poor of Franklin County, but they support the families and children with clothing, warm outer gear, and food to make their holidays merrier. This year the Holiday Helpers managed to enrich the Christmas season for over 1500 in the region.
- Dewey Mountain, Saranac Lake:
Located one mile west of the town of Saranac Lake, Dewey Mountain has been in operation for 32 years providing year round outdoor activities to the youth of the area. A grant was provided to Dewey Mountain which will be used to provide instruction to the children in cross country skiing program as well as snow shoeing. There are over 100 children actively coached there in these activities.
- Brushton Moira American Legion Playground:
A playground is being built in the Spring of 2014 at the America Legion. It will give children/siblings of players a place to play and have fun while their family members play ball. AFK has provided them with a grant to supplement their fundraising activities to date and get the ball field started.
